Pumpkin Seeds Snacks
Pumpkin seeds are really great to eat and good for you. Whenever you either grow or buy a pumpkin we shouldn’t throw away this amazing little packet of nutrients. When you cut your pumpkin dry the seeds on a plate for upto a week, or until they are completely dry. If the seeds have a lot of pumpkin still on them though wash this off before drying. Then you can store the seeds in a re-useable airtight container. They will last for ages but if you are going to eat them I would do so within a year or so.
They are a bit fiddly to eat as the eating part is inside the outer shell, but yummy, healthy and worth it if you have time to sit and pick at food. We crack the seeds by putting them longways between our teeth and then using our fingers to pry out the middle nutritious part of the seed. They are a great snack when you are hiking or when wanting to snack while watching TV as they just take a bit of time.
